Writing retreat for students
Finding the time and space for writing can be a challenge. By participating in a writing retreat you get the opportunity to write in a calm and focused environment with other students, and the chance to learn how to maintain effective writing strategies in your studies.
About the writing retreat
The purpose of a writing retreat is to get away from the distractions of everyday life to concentrate fully on your academic writing. A retreat leader from the Unit for Academic Language will guide you through a structured half day of individual writing and group reflections on the writing process.
Recommendations for participants
- Plan ahead what you want to write and for what purpose.
- Avoid taking literature with you to read. The purpose of this half day is to focus on writing.
- Make sure that you can work uninterrupted and stay until the end.
Register for the Writing retreat
Writing retreats are given on two occasions in the spring; 4 April at the Economics Library and 29 April at the Humanities Library.
Maximum number of participants: 15 Coffee or tea and fika is included.
Register for the reading retreat at the Economics Library 4 April.
Last day to register: 28 March.
Register for the reading retreat at the Humanities Library 29 April.
Last day to register: 22 April.
