Le Grand Robert de la langue française dictionary allows you to explore the French language with a simple and clear interface. It gives you access to more than 100 000 old and new words - literary and colloquial, technical, scientific, slang and dialectal variants.
You can also find a wealth of expressions, phrases and proverbs, and quotes from classic and modern French literature as well as learn the correct pronunciation. Each word has a description of its origin and date of first recorded use.
