Libraries and study environments open before the start of the semester
By the start of the semester, the University Library will open again. Collections and study places are available at all libraries. The study places will be placed further apart to reduce the risk of contagion. Reading studios for students with reading impairments will also be bookable during the library's opening hours.
Schedule for the autumn opening
August 17 opens the Humanities Library, the Music and Drama Library and the Art Library
August 24 opens the Biomedical Library and Hälsovetarbackens Library
August 31 opens the Social Sciences Library, the Education Library and the Economics Library
The libraries have different opening hours and service. Some of the libraries are only open to visitors with GU cards. Current information about opening hours and service is available at the libraries websites.
Summer open libraries
Until all libraries have opened, you are welcome to visit one of our summer open libraries, which already keep their entrance floor open for pick up and return of books.
The Biomedical Library - open to all visitors, Monday – Friday, 12.00–16.00
The Education Library - open only to visitors with GU card and PIN code, Monday – Friday, 12.00–16.00
