New e-resources and publishing agreements 2025

The University Library's digital collections have been expanded with several new information resources and a number of new publishing agreements.

New e-resources

AnthroSource

AnthroSource is an online service of the American Anthropological Association (AAA) which provides current from journals, books, monographs, bulletins and newsletters.

IPA Source

IPA Source contains transcriptions and translations of arias, lieder and other solo pieces, including liturgical music, into the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). The purpose of the resource is to help teachers and singers with language comprehension and pronunciation.

The database has collected 15,803 professionally translated and transcribed titles in French, Italian, German, Spanish, English and Latin. Works from 925 composers and 1,144 poets are represented in IPA Source.

New publishing agreements

American Physiological Society Subscribe2Open

The American Physiological Society is a non-profit society that supports research in the physiological sciences. The new publishing agreement allows unlimited publishing of open access articles in ten of the publisher’s journals.

American Society for Microbiology Subscribe2Open

The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) is an organisation that supports research in virology, bacteriology and other aspects of microbiology. The new publishing agreement allows publishing of articles with open access in six of the publisher’s journals. However, additional charges apply per page.

Bioscientifica Read&Publish

Bioscientifica publishes academic journals and case reports focused on endocrinology and its intersecting disciplines. The new publishing agreement allows unlimited publishing of open access articles in all journals.
