New content in our digital collections 2024

The University Library's digital collections have been expanded with several new information resources on various topics.

In addition, the library provides new content from two publishing platforms and from 2024 access to all standards published by the Swedish Institute for Standards.

Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Anthropology
Extensive encyclopedia of anthropology with peer reviewed articles. The content is updated regularly.

Economy

Eikon
Eikon contains a large amount of global economic, company, and financial data, and also includes Datastream and Asset4. Eikon is available on a computer in the Economics library, it can be booked by contacting the library. Only students and staff at the University of Gothenburg can access Eikon and it cannot be used off-campus.

Environmental sciences

IEA statistics
IEA is a database providing access to statistics from the International Energy Agency (IEA), covering CO2 emissions from fuel combustion, electricity information, energy prices, taxes and more. Access to the database requires a personal login. To get one, please contact the library. Make sure you include your GU email in the application.

MSCI ESG Direct
MSCI ESG Direct is a platform for evaluating environmental, social and governance data. The database contains environmental, social and governance (ESG) data used to measure a company's financially relevant ESG risks and opportunities. If you need in-depth energy statistics, you can apply for an account.

Gender studies

LGBT Thought and culture
LGBT Thought and Culture is an online resource hosting books, periodicals, and archival materials documenting LGBT political, social and cultural movements throughout the twentieth century and into the present day.

Neurosurgery

The Neurosurgical Atlas
The Neurosurgical Atlas is a comprehensive, interactive multi-media collection of content for discovering advanced techniques in cranial surgery. This resource consists of operative case videos, surgical images, interactive neuroanatomical images, book chapters, and more.

Psychology

APA PsycTherapy
APA PsycTherapy is a streaming video database of therapy demonstrations with more than 300 videos showing various treatment approaches and is intended for educational purposes, specifically in clinical training and counselor education. The database will be updated biannually with 40–80 hours of new therapy demonstrations per year.

Publishing platforms

Bristol University press
Bristol University Press publishes 21 peer-reviewed scholarly fulltext e-journals in social sciences. The agreement also gives the right to unlimited publishing of open access articles in the publisher’s journals and its imprint Policy Press.
