Book locker for researchers
The Humanities Library has a number of book lockers intended for storage of materials that can only be borrowed for in-house use. In connection with the book lockers there are also a number of workspaces for researchers.
How to use the book locker and workspace
The book locker is intended for storage of materials that can only be borrowed for in-house use, as well as a very limited selection of your own books and notes. Nothing should be stored that could be harmful to library materials, such as food and drink.
You must register each time that the book locker and research workspace is used. You register your visit in a computer located outside the reading room expedition.
Apply for a book locker for researchers
Use the contact form to apply for a book locker. Enter the number of your GU card or library card in your application. Also state whether you have affiliation to a university or higher education institution and if so, indicate which faculty and department. Describe your research topic as well.
All applications are reviewed based on need, so please justify why you need a bookcase.
You will be contacted by email to let you know if your application has been accepted or not. When you pick up the key to a book locker, you will be asked to sign a contract of lease in the library. The maximum period for borrowing a book locker is one year with the possibility of extension through a new application.
