The Zine collection
The collection, also known as the Zine Archive, was established in September 2016 on the initiative of Mattias Gunnarsson, Senior Lecturer at the Unit for Design at HDK-Valand - Academy of Art and Design.
The collection contains zines and other printed matter of a DIY nature from different parts of the world from the 1980s onwards. Donations are accepted on an ongoing basis, if you want to contribute your own zine, you are welcome to contact us at the Art Library.
Accessibility of the premises
The main entrance of the building is accessible for people with disabilities. An accessibility-adapted toilet is available in the building.
The library is one floor up from street level, there is an elevator by the entrance. There is a accessible workstation in the library.
A stairway goes up to the second floor of the library. Contact the library staff if you need any assistance retrieving material.

Open to all visitors 10.00-16.00 on weekdays. During other opening hours, the library is unstaffed and a GU card at the Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts is then required to enter.
